The materials used in “La Fin du Monde” (“The End of the World”) have been subjected to fire, transforming the pigments into an ebony surface. The cracked surface reveals delicate pearly areas, that seem to emerge from the bowels of the earth.
 
This apocalyptic title incorporates all the violence to which the planet is subjected and the irreversible destruction Man inflicts upon it. It also refers to a critical environmental context, in the era of what some call the Anthropocene, in the era of global warming, looting of natural resources and invasive pollution.
