“The Bulls,” which premiered at the 2007 Venice Biennale, are very rich in colours and materials, thus allowing the artist to instil in them his own personality as an observer of what he calls “our human comedy”, as if he were doing a self-portrait. The lyrics of Léo Ferré transcribed on these paintings saturated with colour are there to remind us of what our society resembles. At the Biennale, Pastor also exhibited The Burned Trees, his sculptures symbolising the destruction of our forests.
